During the shooting of Ramayan 2008 TV Series: Ramayana there were often such incidents on the set which could be fatal for some or the other.


Despite all precautions, accidents often occur during the shooting of TV shows and people are put at risk. Something similar happened on the sets of Ramayana, when the show's DOP saved Sita-Debina Banerjee from scorching fire.

A remake of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana in 2008 was directed by Anand Sagar. During the shooting of this new Ramayana, there were often incidents on the set that could be fatal to someone or the other. One such incident happened with Sita Bani Debina. Gurmeet Chaudhary, who played the role of Ram in the show, says - The wedding scene was being shot after Swayamvar. Debina was wearing her crown on the head and something that was flammable. The scarf on the head was too long, which went unnoticed.

Dupatta went to the Havan Kund and caught fire. At that time, the DoP (Director of Photography) saw it and made a noise showing readiness. I took the scarf over my head and threw it away. If it did not go away, it could have caused a lot of damage. The new Ramayana is currently airing on Dangal TV.

Ankit Arora played Laxman in the Ramayana, while Akhilendra Mishra played Ravana. This Ramayana was first broadcast on NDTV Imagine. The show ran for about a year and a half. Legendary shows are being broadcast on multiple channels during lockdown.

It began with the Ramayana serial aired on Doordarshan's DD National, which was a huge success. An episode of this set the record for the most watched show in the world. Now this serial is being shown on Star Plus. Apart from this, shows like Uttar Ramayana, Shri Krishna and Vishnu Purana are also being aired these days.
